Liverpool have held fresh talks with Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri. The Daily Star says club officials met Shaqiri's agent and brother, Erdin, and are close to agreeing a long-term deal with the 22-year-old.
Shaqiri, much like Origi, has shone in Brazil and scored a sensational hat-trick in the 3-0 victory over Honduras which helped Switzerland progress from Group E.
Liverpool are expected to part with £15m to bring Shaqiri to Anfield.
