Liverpool striker legends Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler believe Fernando Torres is the man to fire the club to Premiership glory.
"But to compete in the League they need to have someone who will get 20 or 25 goals a season - and Torres has the capability to do that.
"He is a genuine striker. He can shoot with both feet, and that is always a great asset, has a great eye for goal, is strong and in a one-on-one situation he rarely misses."
Ex-strike hero Fowler, who was released at the end of the season, said: "Torres' goal record in Spain is fantastic.
"I'm a big Liverpool fan and I really hope he is a success and helps bring the title to Anfield."
