Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was back at Anfield yesterday for victory over Sunderland.

Gerrard announced his retirement from professional football earlier this week and has been heavily linked with a return to Anfield as he looks to take his first steps into coaching.

The former England international returned to Anfield for the first time since announcing his retirement as Liverpool took on Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

He was spotted chatting to supporters in the crowd alongside former team-mate Robbie Fowler, reports the Daily Mail.
