Liverpool legend Ian Rush is convinced Steven Gerrard's influence will rub off on Mario Balotelli.
Having spent £16million to bring the former Manchester City hitman back to the Premier League, Rush reckons captain Gerrard will be tasked with keeping an eye on the 24-year-old.
"Yeah, that's why he's captain of the club," Rush told the Daily Express.
"The traditions of the club and the manager sets the rules, Stevie is the captain and he will be in the dressing room saying: 'If you perform here, these supporters will love you'.
"Balotelli is 24 and he will improve at Liverpool."
