Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has slammed Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. Lawro feels Van Persie is not justifying his huge wages.

He told BBC Sport: "Every time I see Van Persie, I think 'you're taking the mickey, you're picking your money up and not doing enough'.

"And I feel a bit sorry for Falcao, he hasn't been great. Stick Rooney in with him for six games and then make your judgement."

Lawro says Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao should be United's front pairing.

"Let that duo play six games in a row and you'll have a great pairing up front."
