Liverpool legend Gerrard keeps door ajar for A-League move

Steven Gerrard would be prepared to consider a future move to the A-League.

The former Liverpool captain is in Australia to play for the Liverpool Legends side against an Australian Legends outfit in Sydney on Thursday.

When asked about the thought of playing down under, the LA Galaxy midfielder said it had not yet crossed his mind, but did admit it was a scenario he would not dismiss.

"I've never had that offer, so there's no point talking about it," he said.

"For all the doors that are open to me in the future I'll never say never to any of them. I'll have to see what the future holds."

Gerrard joins such Anfield heroes as Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher for the ANZ Stadium meeting with the Socceroos XI which consists of the likes of Brett Emerton, Tony Popovic and Robbie Slater.
