Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard says that Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata reminds him of his former Reds teammate Fernando Torres.

Morata has made an instant impact in England upon his arrival from Real Madrid and has scored seven goals in as many appearances for his new club this season.

"When I saw the goals at the weekend against Stoke, I played with a player at Liverpool, Fernando Torres as you know," Gerrard said on BT Sport.

"When he came to Liverpool he was on fire.

"He reminds me in his movement, in the way he runs, the start he's made at Chelsea to Torres' start at Chelsea. He reminds me of him a lot."
