Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is encouraged by Mario Balotelli's recent form.
By his own admission, Balotelli has a smile back on his face after recent performances.
Fowler told Liverpoolfc.com: "Mario would be the first to tell you he has probably not been happy with the way he's played. But he came on against Tottenham and scored the winning goal.
"The important thing as a substitute is to come on and try to make a difference, and he has certainly done that in the last couple of games.
"He was instrumental in the winner against Spurs and getting the assist for the winner against Palace - that's everything that you want as a sub.
"We want him to keep doing that, try to make it difficult for the manager to leave him out. He's a talented player.
"He's certainly looking better now; maybe the performances, the goal and the assist in the last couple of games will benefit him, and let's hope so."
