Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish believes Wayne Rooney could leave Manchester United this summer.

Dalglish wrote in the Mirror: "I don't know if Wayne has made his mind up that he wants to leave Old Trafford, but I'm sure United would be disappointed to lose him.

"David Moyes will want to be adding to his squad, not watching players of calibre such as Wayne leave the team.

"But Wayne is not a squad player and the impression in recent weeks is that is how he is now being viewed at United.

"Some United fans are saying the club should let him go. Well, if United decide to sell, my guess is there will be a queue of clubs both here and abroad eager to buy."
