Liverpool legend John Aldridge was impressed by Danny Sturridge's impact in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea.
Aldridge wrote in his column in the Liverpool Echo: "Sturridge made a huge difference in the second half. You could see how determined he was to impress and prove a point to the manager.
"He hit the post before taking his goal really well. Sturridge then produced a brilliant cross to pick out Luis Suarez for the late equaliser.
"Brendan Rodgers would have been delighted with the way he responded to losing his place in the side. You have got to do your talking on the field and Sturridge did that."
