Liverpool learn Thiago Alcantara could miss six weeks with hamstring injury

Liverpool will be without Thiago Alcantara for several weeks after a scan revealed a hamstring strain.

The Spanish midfielder limped off during Liverpool's draw with Fulham last weekend.

Scans have now revealed a strain for Thiago who is certain to be sidelined for the rest of the month as a result, but the stint could stretch to six weeks, per the Liverpool Echo.

It comes as a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp, who is already without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones.

The Reds face Manchester United, Everton and Newcastle United in the coming weeks.

Fans will certainly be curious to see if Klopp revisits the transfer market after previously ruling out any more signings this summer.
