Liverpool are getting ready to launch an audacious £35 million summer bid for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The Citizens have barely used Phillips since he arrived at the club in the summer from Leeds United.
However, it appears he may get a lifeline, with Jurgen Klopp wanting to bring him to Anfield.
Per the Daily Star, Liverpool see him as the all-action, defensive-minded player that could help their back four and give energy to their midfield.
The Reds are set to revamp that area of their team after a poor season on all fronts.
Liverpool are also being linked to Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich and Chelsea's Mason Mount.
