Liverpool academy coach John Owens is confident England youth striker Nathan Eccleston will establish himself this season after winning promotion to the reserves.
Reds management have high hopes for Eccleston and Owens told liverpoolfc.tv: "He's a level-headed young man with a great attitude and as you can imagine he was delighted with the news when we told him on Tuesday.
"He scored a lot of goals for the under-18s last season and has shown glimpses of what he is capable of when Gary Ablett has had a look at him in the reserves. Hopefully he can now go there, settle in quickly and look to impress the staff over there."
