Liverpool interest confirmed for Werder Bremen striker Rashica

Liverpool remain in the hunt for Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica.

Rashica is the subject of a three-way transfer battle between Liverpool, Southampton and RB Leipzig.

BILD says all three clubs are keen on the winger, who Bremen may be forced to part ways with in order to raise funds.

Rashica is said to have a €38m (£33m) release clause in place until June 15th, which would drop to just €18m (£16m) if Bremen are relegated from the Bundesliga.

The club's chief executive Frank Baumann addressed the interest that Rashica has attracted back in February, stating: "Of course, there are a few prospects for a player like Milot after the performances of the past few years. So far, we haven't negotiated with any club."

Rashica is a Kosovo international and Agim Ademi, president of Kosovo's Football Federation, has admitted that both Liverpool and Leipzig are interested in the player's services.

Speaking to GazetaOlle, Ademi said: "There are lots of demands for our national team players. Rashica is wanted by Liverpool but RB Leipzig are also interested in him.

"I have confidence about his career plans because I know his agent Altin Lala will advise him properly."
