Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has sent a motivational message to Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri after their World Cup exit.
Suarez, Pellistri, and the rest of the Uruguayan squad have flown from Qatar after going out in the group stages.
Despite winning their final game against Ghana 2-0, Uruguay were bundled out on goal difference after South Korea bested Portugal 2-1.
"My first World Cup. It was my dream to play one and I achieved it. Didn't have the ending we wanted, but that's football. So sad we didn't achieve more. Thank you to everyone who supported! This continues, we will come back stronger!" Pellistri wrote on social media.
Suarez commented on the post, saying: "We have to keep going, Facu. You will always have a rematch. Keep on giving yourself to the maximum always."
Pellistri is unlikely to be back at United for their friendlies before the Premier League resumes, but he may be involved in a League Cup tie they play against Burnley on December 21st.
