Former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer feels they should've scored during the first-half against Manchester United.
McAteer lamented Joel Matip's failure to beat David de Gea with the best chance of the game. However, he was angered by Romelu Lukaku's clash with Dejan Lovren just before halftime.
"How he got away with that, I don't know," said the Scouser, reacting to Lukaku's stray boot on a floored Lovren.
"I think he knew what he was doing. He steps over Lovren, he looks to catch him. He catches him, but then Lovren made too much of it. He's lucky to be on the pitch, Lukaku."
McAteer was also referring to the foul the Belgian made on Joe Gomez previous to the Lovren incident.
He added: "Martin Atkinson hasn't had a lot to do, but what he has - it hasn't been great."
The scores are currently locked at 0-0.
