Former Liverpool star Didi Hamann has again urged Manchester United to bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. After discussing such a deal in England, Hamann repeated his opinion when speaking with Kicker.
"If (Pep) Guardiola is still in Bavaria next season, it is very possible that Lewandowski is no longer there. I cannot imagine that Lewandowski goes along with this for a second year," said Hamann.
"If I have such a centre forward, he has to play up front. Currently, he'd fit in anywhere better than Munich.
"If I was Manchester United I'd throw the gold reserves at the market to get him."
