Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has issued an apology after he was involved in a spat with a fan during the weekend.
Following Liverpool's 2-1 defeat against Manchester United during the weekend, a video emerged showing the former defender spitting towards a supporter and his daughter from his own vehicle.
Carragher has since apologised to the girl and her father and said that he phoned them to apologise.
He wrote on Twitter: "Totally out of order and I've apologised personally to all the family this evening.
"I was goaded 3/4 times along the motorway while being filmed and lost my rag.
"No excuse, apologies."
