Liverpool have title fight in their sights after Crystal Palace defeat – Sturridge

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge believes that the Reds are still in with a genuine title chance this season

The 26-year-old has urged his teammates to move on from the disappointing result against Crystal Palace in their last league game and built on a Premier League title challenge, despite sitting nine points off leaders Manchester City.

Ahead of the weekend's clash with City, the returning Sturridge said: "We had a disappointing result last time out against Palace but it's important to move on.

"The Premier League is the best league in the world in terms of competitiveness. There are teams up there this season you wouldn't have expected.

"It's up for grabs this season, there isn't a real favourite. It will come down to who can be the most consistent."
