Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has left the door open to staying with Union Berlin next season.
Karius is on-loan with Union Berlin to the end of the season.
He told BILD: "I have at Liverpool still a contract until 2022. But of course I can imagine if everything matches to stay in Berlin. I'm not on a pass through here. The mentality of the people and the spirit of the team are good for me."
The fact that there is currently no getting past the first-choice goalkeeper Andreas Luthe is not a relevant aspect for Karius.
“I feel totally at home in Berlin and at Union. Of course I want to play, but if that were different, then I wouldn't have lost anything here. It's about the success of the team, not about myself. The trainer knows I'm there. If he needs me, he can rely on me."
