Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson: The key to our form turnaround

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson says victory at Newcastle on Saturday was about trusting eachother.

The Reds backed up their derby win against Everton with victory on Tyneside.

"The difference was the faith and belief that we have in ourselves and the work we do and in the team our quality," Alisson said. "We keep doing the things we should do and now we are getting the rewards in the matches. We have to keep that confidence that for a while was away for us but now looks like it is back.

"A week ago we were talking about bad moments and a bad situation, and now we are talking about a really good performance. That's how football works. You don't like the feeling when you go through a difficult moment, but we work hard to change our situation. We are getting the momentum and confidence again but we can't take things for granted.

"We are really happy with the three points and clean sheet, the performance as well and the way we started the game. The last month has been a big challenge, the way we have been approaching and starting games, we have been speaking a lot about it. We did a really good start and scoring two early goals was massive for us. Having an extra player, keeping the performance the way we did was important."
