Liverpool have gone cold on former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The Daily Star says AVB has been linked with the job and is believed to have spoken with Reds owners Fenway Sports Group.

The 34-year-old revealed yesterday he is looking for a role at a club with a "strong technical plan", but his hopes of moving to Anfield appear to be shrinking.
