Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has suffered a fresh injury setback.
The Daily Mail says there are fears he is facing a lay-off that will run into months rather than weeks.
The Brazilian international hobbled off just four minutes into Sunday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City with a thigh problem. And while it initially appeared as if he had just pulled his muscle, there is now concern he has suffered a tear.
Lucas will have a scan on Tuesday and, given he has only just returned after seven months out with cruciate ligament damage, he is understood to be distraught at the thought of another long absence.
