Liverpool are favourites to land Schalke defender Malick Thiaw.

Arena Napoli reports Liverpool are leading the race to sign Thiaw.

The Reds are favourites to sign the Schalke centre-back ahead of the likes of Napoli, PSG, AC Milan.

They report Thiaw's agent has opened negotiations with all three clubs, with the youngster having a £7m release clause in his contract.

The younng stopper is primarily a member of Schalke's U19 team this season.
