Liverpool face a tough Champions League draw after Saturday's final defeat to Real Madrid.
The Mirror says the Reds have provisionally been placed in pot three for the group stage draw of the 2018/19 competition - when they would have been put in pot one if they had won.
It means that in the worst case scenario, Liverpool could face Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan in a group of death.
Had they won the Champions League, they could have been given a more generous draw, potentially against Basel, Ludogorets and Celtic.
Real Madrid instead take the pot one spot which is reserved for the winner of the Champions League.
