Liverpool are eyeing Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto.
The People says the Brazilian has emerged as a prime target now that talks with Swansea City over Michel Vorm have ground to a halt.
Vorm is expected to sign for Tottenham.
Neto, meanwhile, has just one year left on his contract and would provide stiff competition for Simon Mignolet, whose performances dipped towards the end of last season.
Neto, 25, may even end up as the preferred choice of the Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers, with the goalkeeping situation a fluid one.
