Liverpool have a lodged a £14.9m bid for Lyon defender Emanuel Mammana, according to the latest reports.

The report from Sport Review claims that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has identified the Argentina international as a possible replacement for Mamadou Sakho, who is set to leave Anfield on a permanent move this summer.

The Merseysiders are prepared to offer a five-year deal at £54,000-a-week wages to the 21-year-old.

Mammana signed for Lyon from River Plate on a five-year deal last summer and managed 17 league appearances in his debut season.
