Liverpool are set to speak with Raheem Sterling after images of him taking nitrous oxide appeared online.
The Sun published social media videos of the 20-year old inhaling the substance - a legal 'high' - through a pipe before passing out just days after a picture emerged of him smoking a shisha pipe.
Liverpool are aware of the incident and are set to address it very soon according to a spokesperson.
"We are aware of the story and intend to speak to the player. Any subsequent action will be taken internally," said the spokesman.
It is suggested that Brendan Rodgers will address the situation at his post-match press conference after Monday night's 2-0 win over Newcastle United in which Sterling scored the opening goal at Anfield.
