Liverpool deny interest in Vasco de Gama whizkid Magno over work-permit issues

Reports of Liverpool's imminent signing of Vasco de Gama whizkid Talles Magno are wide of the mark, sources have claimed.

The 18-year-old, dubbed the 'next Neymar', is a target for a number of clubs in Europe.

Brazilian sources claimed this week that the Reds were leading the race to sign Magno.

However, the Evening Standard says there is no truth in those reports.

This stems from Liverpool's reluctance to sign a young Brazilian without international experience.

Magno would unlikely be able to secure a work-permit in the UK, which is a problem Liverpool endured with Allan Rodrigues de Souza.

Signed in 2015, Allan spent six spells away on loan because the club couldn't secure him a work-permit.

He joined Atletico Miniero in January this year without making single appearance for the Merseyside club.
