Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones has suffered an ankle injury on-loan at Blackpool.

The 19-year-old was carried off in the Tangerines' 2-0 win over Chesterfield on Tuesday.

He will have his injury assessed by the Reds medical staff, as he awaits the results of the scan, says the Liverpool Echo.

Tangerines boss Neil McDonald confirmed the news this morning, but Jones is expected to return to the League One side once he is fit again.
