Liverpool defender Gallacher: The club has won everything since I joined

Liverpool defender Tony Gallacher admits the place has been flying since he joined.

The Scot is currently away on-loan with Toronto FC.

After joining from Falkirk in 2018, the former Scotland youth international says he has enjoyed seeing the first-team's success whilst at the Reds.

He said to Toronto's website: "The time that I've come in has been the time they've rocketed and they've won everything you can really imagine you'd want to win as a player.

"So the two-and-a-half years I've been there the spirits have been really high as you can imagine.

"The under-23s, we follow the first-team schedule, the training is very similar, so anytime I've been asked to go up I've been used to what the manager puts out.

"The standards you train to are always kept high from the academy to the first-team so being part of that has been a great experience for myself.

"I never would have thought anything of that, growing up you dream of that stuff and being part of that.

"Ever since I've been in, it's been good - I've had a few chances to train and obviously that big game against Aston Villa that will probably never happen again in football but I was lucky to get the chance to go in there.

"The experience is great, the coaching staff know what to do with developing players so the two years I've been there, there's been a lot of fans."
