Liverpool are close to penning Andy Robertson to a new long-term contract.

The Scottish left-back has slowly established himself as an important player in Jurgen Klopp's team since arriving from Hull City in 2017.

And the Reds want to reward his efforts with an improved deal, according to the London Evening Standard.

The length of Robertson's new contract is five years. He will join Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in Reds players who have recently tied their futures to the club.
