Liverpool chief Damien Comolli is being tipped for a buying spree this summer. The Mirror says the desire from owner John Henry to see the club back at the top European table could pave the way for Athletic Bilbao playmaker Javi Martinez, Barcelona's Seydou Keita and Lille's Belgian forward Eden Hazard to move to Anfield in the next transfer window.

Comolli said: "There's a very positive vibe around the club across Europe.

"A lot players I know are very interested about joining the project because it's a very interesting project.

"We already know that there are big players who want to join us next summer because they believe in the project.

"Everybody in Europe knows what Liverpool football club are trying to do."
