Liverpool are keeping tabs on Gael Clichy's situation at Arsenal.
The France fullback is baulking at opening new contract talks with Arsenal and could let his deal run down until it expires in 2012.
Arsenal will seek to cash in should Clichy maintain his stand.
The Mail on Sunday says Liverpool are keen, where football chief Damien Comolli actually helped get Clichy to the Gunners as a junior player.
