Liverpool are lining up a bid for Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
The Daily Star says the Merseysiders have asked to be kept informed if anyone else makes a move for the 23-year-old.
Chelsea are also keen on McCarthy but Liverpool are determined to be contenders for his signature if Reading are willing to sell.
