Liverpool and Chelsea are eyeing Hoffenheim starlet Nick Breitenbucher.

The Guardian says Liverpool and Chelsea are two of the teams interested in coaxing the 17-year-old away from Germany.

He wouldn't be the only German in the Reds' academy, with teenage striker Paul Glatzel having committed his long-term future to the club earlier this season.

A lot of Liverpool's business over the last few years has focused on strengthening the next generation of first-teamers, with the likes of Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg brought in before turning 18.

And now Breitenbucher appears to be on the club's shopping list, this time before even playing a senior game.
