Liverpool captain Gerrard: We let Man Utd off

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard says Manchester United were let off during yesterday's 3-0 win.

Gerrard struck twice in the rout.

"We're going away disappointed that we didn't score more goals," said the Reds' skipper. "We've shown out there that we're genuine contenders and we're going to fight to the end.

"We believe it [can win the title]. I've said it many times, in football it's easy to talk the talk. We've got to go and treat Cardiff and Sunderland like Manchester United now, and if we do we'll win a lot of games between now and the end of the season."
