Liverpool's Champions League win over Manchester City on Tuesday night saw them break a long time Manchester United record.
City took a third minute lead on the night but goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino ensured the Red progressed to the semi-finals 5-1 on aggregate.
Those two goals also meant that Liverpool now have Champions League record for most goals by an English team in a single season, reports the Daily Star.
Jurgen Klopp's side scored their 32nd and 33rd goals of the competition in the quarter-final second leg at the Etihad Stadium tonight.
The two strikes mean they have overhauled Manchester United's record set back in the 2002-03 season.
It was also a record-breaking evening for Salah and Firmino as their goals ensured they became the first Liverpool players to score eight times in a single Champions League season.
