Liverpool boss Rodgers wants Lacina Traore as first signing

Liverpool are chasing exciting Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore. The 6ft 8 Ivorian striker, who towers above current Liverpool forward Andy Carroll and former Anfield favourite Peter Crouch, has bagged 18 goals for Kuban since joining from Cluj in 2011.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the 22-year-old is set to become the first signing of Brendan Rodgers' reign at Liverpool.

Rodgers has been following Traore since his time in charge of Swansea City.
