Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers feels Chelsea skipper John Terry should be part of England's World Cup squad.
During his time at Stamford Bridge under Jose Mourinho, Rodgers worked with Terry and still rates him highly despite Hodgson's belief that the defender's time has gone at international level.
He told the Sunday People: "I have a decent idea what technique looks like: from John Terry at Chelsea, a centre-half and tactically brilliant, to Frank Lampard.
"Frank has wonderful qualities and then here at LiverpoolSteven Gerrard is the best player I've worked with for tempo and technique."
