Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's pursuit of an attacking midfield signing won't end with Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss is available for around £13m due to a release clause in his current contract following the Potters' relegation from the Premier League last season.

Shaqiri, 26, is keen to head to Anfield and Stoke are resigned to losing the former Inter Milan star in the coming weeks.

And Goal reports Klopp wants at least one more attacking midfielder after Shaqiri completes his move to Liverpool.

The Reds almost signed Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir last month, however, Liverpool pulled out of the £53m deal at the last minute.
