Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he's a big fan of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The Reds go to Leicester on Boxing Day having won the Club World Cup.

"We will try [to stop him]," Klopp said of Vardy.

"He is one of the top three strikers in England since I have been here.

"Always difficult to defend. We just try to avoid the passes to him.

"That is what we will try. Brendan has done an excellent job. Top-class team. Exceptional quality."

Klopp believes Leicester are a "top, top team": "They don't play European football but they have the quality. Soyuncu-Evans, super high quality pairing.

"The full backs. Desire, aggressive challenges, the wings quick, creative. And then you have Jamie Vardy on top of that.

"They do really well and use their situation really well. I'm not surprised at all."
