Jurgen Klopp will reportedly soon hold talks with Robert Lewandowski's agent.
According to Spanish publication Fichajes, the new Liverpool manager is planning to sit down with Cezary Kucharsky to discuss the possibility of the Bayern Munich striker making the move to Anfield.
Klopp has already said he will not be looking to launch a raid on former club Borussia Dortmund but that will not stop him from pursuing the Poland international who rose to prominence under his reign at the Westfalenstadion from 2010 to 2014.
Lewandowski has been in fine form for both club and country in recent times, scoring 19 goals in his past 10 outings, which suggests that Bayern will be loath to lose him.
To add further difficulty to any possible deal for Liverpool, the 27-year-old is contracted with Bayern until 2019 meaning the Merseyside outfit would have to pay an enormous fee to lure him from the Allianz Arena.
