Liverpool boss Klopp sends Ward to convince Bellingham about Anfield move

Liverpool are spending this week pushing to reach a commitment with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool have emerged as frontrunners ahead of Manchester City to sign Dortmund star Bellingham this summer.

A report from Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg claims Jurgen Klopp is 'pushing' to bring the 19-year-old back to England in what is likely to be a club-record transfer.

Bellingham is wanted by a host of clubs, including City, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid, with Dortmund hoping to raise £130m from his sale after the England international turned down a double-your-money contract offer.

The report adds that Klopp is yet to hold private talks from Bellingham, but sporting director Julian Ward has been in contact as the Reds try to gain the upper hand on City.
