Liverpool boss Klopp responds to legacy question

Jugen Klopp says talk of a legacy at Liverpool isn't a concern for him.

The Reds meet Brighton in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Klopp said, "Legacy? 10 years or 20 years, we will look back and say we enjoyed it, yes it was great. All the finals, great, it was close. My god how close was it to being champions too and all that stuff. But who cares about that now?

"I couldn't care less now. I cannot. I don't think for a second that we won the Champions League [in 2019], it doesn't feel like it. In a few years, I will think about it again and we want to win it again, of course. Does it look like we will smash Real Madrid at the moment [in the last-16]? Maybe not but it's a competition we are good in and in a few weeks we will be ready for that 100%

"The tough stuff here is to explain something which is not very positive. No-one wants to have those conversations because they sound like excuses. I don't go for excuses but it sounds like it. Yes, others do well and I respect that a lot but we want to beat them anyway, so we will see how we go on Sunday."
