Despite the fine form of Andy Robertson, Liverpool are planning to improve the squad with another left fullback.

According to the Express, manager Jurgen Klopp is seriously considering splashing out the massive £53 million to activate the release clause in the contract of Alex Grimaldo.

Benfica's player has impressed in two previous seasons for the Eagles and could fit in perfectly in Klopp's system with his flare and pace.

Grimaldo is also only 22 years old and was a member of Barcelona's famous La Masia academy.
