Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Simon Mignolet will start tomorrow night against Carabao Cup opponents Chelsea.

Mignolet is yet to see action this season after Alisson Becker's arrival from AS Roma, but Klopp says he'll play against the Blues.

"The only position I will confirm is Simon Mignolet will start," Klopp said today.

"All the rest will decide tomorrow. It will be a strong team."

The manager admits Mignolet could have left last month.

"He has been brilliant. Yes, it was how you can imagine it. Simon would have been ready to go to another club to be number one wherever in the world, but we couldn't do it. Since then he has been brilliant. He deserves the game tomorrow."

Klopp was also asked about Fabinho, but insisted: “It will be a good team though, believe me."
