Liverpool boss Klopp: Man Utd have given us chance of top 4 miracle

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has opened the door to a top four finish.

Klopp admits Manchester United's recent stumbles has given them hope.

Ahead of Monday night's clash at Leicester City, Klopp said: "Our away record is still not brilliant. I think we are third or fourth in the home table, and... somewhere, in the away table, so that's still not great.

"But we had that discussion early, years ago, when I first came here, that we created something like a fortress again, but we were not a top six or top four team at the time. And we realised it is not that difficult, the difference is not that big but we have to make sure we are ready for that as well.

"Anfield is a boost and massive help in the moment, that's no secret but if we don't have that, we have four, five thousand people away - and they are completely mad! Completely on their toes for the whole 95 minutes. They are really excited and I love that. I love the away atmosphere.

"We needed to much help from the outside this season and I we didn't use it then. Thats why we are in the position we are."

He continued: "We were around when miracles happened, that's true. But it was then, still, in our hands. So we had to score against West Brom and we had to win against Barcelona. Now we have to win, but that does not mean anything changes, because the other teams could win all their games - that's the difference.

"I know that weeks ago, it was completely out of sight, I couldn't see it at all. But that didn't mean that we will not try to closer. That's the only thing we did: got closer. It's still more likely Manchester United will win and if they finish the season above, they deserve it."
