Liverpool boss Klopp makes open invitation to Eriksson

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp feels they can do something special for former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson.

Eriksson has announced he has a year to live due to a cancer diagnosis. A lifelong Reds fan, the Swede has long stated he'd like to have managed Liverpool.

Several Liverpool heroes, such as Robbie Fowler and Glenn Hysén, are now trying to ensure that the Swede can lead the team in the legends match against Ajax in March.

Klopp likes the idea, but also wants to welcome "Svennis" to the training facility.

"I heard for the first time about his admiration or love for Liverpool and that he has been a fan all his life," said Klopp.

"He is very welcome to come here and he can sit in my place in my office and do my job for a day if he wants - that's no problem. To have him here and show him everything and how this wonderful club has developed over the years. I think that's definitely something we'll tell him. He can come over and have a wonderful few hours here, I'm sure."
