Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Thiago Alcantara is primed for a big season.

Klopp is adamant Thiago has turned a corner since last summer's arrival from Bayern Munich and is poised to become a huge influence.

"There is much more to come from him," said Klopp. "The start was not perfect. Of course, that makes everything a little more difficult. But he showed what kind of a player he can and will be for us.

"He is a really good character and personality and obviously a world-class player. So all fine. Yes, he has had to adapt to the way we defend.

"We want him to play his natural football."
